For the last few weeks in first grade we have been studying planets, stars and the moon. It has been very interesting and the students had some great questions. We have written stories about space travel, shot off a rocket at recess, tasted star fruit, and traveled to the local planetarium to see a space show. A few of us even visited the Fox Observatory at Markham Park on the weekend to view objects in the telescope. Perhaps your family can visit some Saturday from 7:00 to midnight for the free viewings.
