This week we are studying about Jesus growing up and learning the carpenter trade. Today we had a real live carpenter (my dad) come in to show some tools and what woodworking is like. The children loved it. They were able to sand wood, hit nails, see how wood is chiseled and use the hammer as a lever to easily remove nails. This last part fit perfectly with our science lessons this week on simple machines.
